VERY BAD AT POSTING - SORRY

I know I have been very bad at posting on my blog. I am going to set a reminder in my cell phone each week to blog otherwise it will be forever till the next post.

What have we been up to???

Mackenzie is growing like a weed, she loves to sing, she can see the ABC song (it is so funny we will be just about anywhere and she will just bust out singing the song). She is so cute and growing up way to fast.

Garrett is almost 6 months, he is almost sitting up by himself, he is also growing like a weed too. He loves Elmo. He loves to stick out is tongue!!! He is not to sure about this eating baby food thing yet but he needs to because he is starting to wake up in the middle of the night hungry.

Ryan and I are do good, just very busy with the little ones, but loving every minute of it.

Here are some things we did this summer::

We loved going to parks!!!

We got a swingset for the backyard!!!
We went to Como Zoo a few times!!!

My sister Liz and her girls came to visit!!

We went to the splash pad a few times with friends!!!

We went camping up north with my sister family and my family at my uncles house!!!

We had playdates with friends!!!

Auntie Angie and her girls came to visit!!!

We went to Stillwater to Teddy Bear Park a few times!!!

Daddy and Papa went racing over the 4th at BIR!!!

We spent a lot of time shopping with Auntie Sara!!!

We went to the State Fair with Auntie Sara, Papa Wally and Grandma Sharon!!

Mackenzie did a lot of sleep overs at Grammy and Papa house!!!

We went camping with Liz & her family over Labor Day!!

We have been very busy, and still are.

Our fall activites are filling up fast.

Sorry I have not posted in a long time, but I have been busy getting ready for our little boy to arrive. We started potty training Mackenzie in the middle of January, she is doing really good. I would not say she is totally potty trained but she is very close. She is just now telling us on a regular basis that she needs to go potty. We are so very proud of our little girl, she is growing up way to fast.

So now to introduce our new member of our family, Garrett Vaughan Malik was born on March 26, 2009 at 10:33 pm. He was 6 lbs and 8 ozs and 20 3/4 in long. He has brown hair and he is a great little baby.

Well it is official, I had my ultrasound on November 18. I begged my doctor to get me in the day of my appointment, so he had his nurse check and the had a opening at 4pm so I took it. We were so excited to find out what we were having.

As soon as the doppler met my belly it was there, Ryan said I think I know what we are having, the tech acted like she didn't hear him, but I am pretty sure she did. She continued on with the ultrasound and when she let me empty my bladder, she asked if we wanted to know the sex of the baby. Ryan said I think we already know, and she said oh really what makes you think that, and Ryan said that as soon as the doppler met the belly it was right there.

She then said OK well we will go and make sure you guys saw right. Sure enough when she went to check she said "IT IS A BOY!!!"

Long Time NO Post

I know I have been really bad at posting on my blog. I hope to be better in the future. We are all doing really good. We have some really EXCITING NEWS!!! Mackenzie is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! We are having another baby in April. April 7, 2009 is my due date to be exact. We will hopefully find out what we are having before Thanksgiving so look for another update then.

Mackenzie is getting really big and she is talking a lot more. She tries to say what ever word you ask her to but she sometimes doesn't get it out right. She is such a sweet girl and we don't know what we would do with out her.

Mackenzie also has graduated to a BIG GIRL BED and she is doing pretty well in it. She does really good at bed time but nap time is a little more challenging. She has been in it since last Friday so just over a week, I am sure once she gets use to it she will be just fine. I will try to post pictures soon but my camera doesn't want to work with me right now.

We have had a great summer so far. I love to be outside and I love my pool, and my grandma Roxy has a pool at her house too. So pretty much no matter where I am I have a pool there. My cousin Marissa was here at the end of June and beginning of July and we had fun at grandma and grandpa Malik's house swimming in the pool. We also had a daddy's aunts and uncles here over the 4th we went to the casino over the 4th and went to fireworks. I loved the fireworks but it got a little old after a while. I just went to the doctor for my 18 month check-up and I weigh 28 pounds, and I am 34 ins long. My mommy and daddy have no idea where I am getting the height from but I am that tall and that is just how it is.

I have been really bad about blogging. We have been really busy the past few months. Mackenzie keeps me very busy. She loves to go outside, and get into any trouble she can get her hands on. Some bad news o report in April I had a miscarriage. We are doing fine, we will try again, the doctor said it was just my body getting rid of a unhealthy pregnancy, he said the baby didn't even form.

Daddy redid out deck so we now have a very nice deck to play out on and entertain on also.

Auntie Angie and Marissa from Texas have come to visit us at least once a month, that has been very fun to have the cousins together so they can play.

Mackenzie was dedicated to the Lord on Mother's Day so that was a very special day for us. For Father's Day we went to the Como zoo and had a BBQ at Grammy and Grandpa Malik's house.

Mackenzie is starting to show her true self and she is talking a little more each day. these are the words she normally says are : Ma Ma,Mom, Da Da, Daddy, Kitty, Doggie, Teddy, All Done, Ball, Ya Ya, Pa Pa, Veggies. She knows a few sounds she knows what a dog, cat and cow say. She can sign the word please and she is shaking her head for yes and no. She is getting so big and growing up way to fast. Her favorite show to watch on TV when we let her is Veggie Tales. I have to tell a story I have been going to garage sales. We went to this one garage sale and they had little key chains the were Veggie Tales characters. I showed them to her and her eyes got really big and she grabbed them, I asked her if she wanted them and she said Yay. So we went to pay for them and she would not let go of the bag that they were in and so we paid for them and left and went to another garage sale and I told her that she would have to leave them in the car and that was not going to happen she was holding on them so tight her hands were turning purple. I guess she loves the Veggie Tales.

Mackenzie turned 1 in January. She is now walking all by herself with no help. She is loves to play with her baby doll, she carries her all around the house and she is quite the little mother to her. She loves to read books, she will sit on the floor and cross her ankles and put the book on her lap and turn pages one by one it is so cute. ( I will post a picture the next time she does it.) She does give hugs and kisses to people, she is very selective on who she gives them to. Her words that she says are Ma-Ma, Da-Da, Doggy, Kitty and Teddy. (which is Gramma and Grandpa Malik's dog name) She is getting so big and her personalty is really coming out. She is totally a gift from God. We are enjoying seeing her grow up, but it does go by really fast.

I just started selling Tastefully Simple. If anyone is interested in having a party or would like to order anything, please let me know and I would love to help you out. I also stay home with Mackenzie and I love it, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Ryan is still working at NTM Inc. He loves being a daddy and he is a wonderful husband, I could not ask for a better guy. Mackenzie loves her daddy, she always saying DA-DA .

We took a family vacation to Florida in the beginning of February. It was very nice to get away and of course it was nice weather. It was between 70 and 80 everyday, the day before we left it rained but other than that the weather was great. We flew in to Orlando and stayed at a timeshare for 3 nights and then we drove down to Daytona Beach and stayed 4 nights on the beach. It was beautiful and so relaxing. Mackenzie loved the beach. Mackenzie and I buried Ryan in the sand, I will post pictures when I get them developed. Mackenzie loved the pools at the timeshares. When we were in Daytona Beach, we went to a race track amusement park and Ryan drove dragster and he finished the finish line at 3.159 seconds. The thing I chose to do was to go to the outlet malls, but I was very disappointed that I didn't find anything but it was probably for the better because we didn't have much room in our suitcases.

Sledding

Sorry it has been so long since my mommy has posted but we have been really busy plus, my mommy has not gotten a lot of her film develop from the various events of my life. My Mommy will be posting soon about Christmas and My 1st Birthday.

I had so much fun with my daddy sledding for the first time. My mommy and daddy bought me a saucer to go sledding on they had been having a hard time finding a baby sled for me. Some day I will get a sled that is more age appropriate for me. I hope you enjoy my sledding pictures.

Halloween

My mommy is very late posting Halloween but better late than ever. We took a trip to Wyoming to visit my aunt and her family just before Halloween. We had a really fun time, it was a very long drive but totally worth it. I was Indian girl, ladybug and piglet this year for Halloween.

My daddy was putting his car in storage so my mommy thought it would be a good idea to get pictures with me in my daddy's car. I love my daddy and his car. I had alot of fun playing in my daddy's car. The only thing I don't like about the car is that it is really loud.

Mommy, Daddy and Auntie Jenni went to the pumpkin patch. I got to sit on a pony & ride in a wagon. Mommy took a lot of pictures of me with the pumpkins. It was a nice fall day, the sun was shining we couldn't of asked for a nicer day. Mommy and Daddy bought me two pumpkins, one big one & and a one small one. My mommy took me on a play date to the Apple Orchard. It was me, mommy her friends Jenni, Karie and Marcy and their kids (my friends) Carson, Maddie, Reese, Charlie and Nick. We had so much fun, I loved see the animals even though they smelled a little bit. I tried an apple for the first time, which tasted really good (better than those ones my mommy likes to feed me). It was a little chilly that day but my mommy bundle me pretty warm so that I didn't get cold. Here are some pictures from the apple orchard.

I AM 9 MONTHS

I am 9 months old. My mommy took me to the doctor and for the first time they didn't give me any shots. When I went to the doctor I weighed in at 21lbs 10 1/2oz. and 29 1/2 in long. I am officially out of my baby car seat, I have graduated to my big girl car seat. I am a lot busier now I am pulling myself up on things, (couch, table, and pretty much anything that I can) I crawl and when I am tired of crawling I do such a thing that is called the army crawl.

My mommy and daddy took me on a trip to Texas to visit my new cousin Marissa, Auntie Angie and Uncle Chuck. I went on my first plane ride that was fun. On the way back we had a longer plane ride than we were planing on but I it didn't bother me, it bothered my daddy more than it bothered me. My mommy and Auntie Angie took Marissa and I shopping a lot. I had a good time visiting Marissa but she is smaller than me so I couldn't really play to much with her but I tried but everyone kept telling me to be gentle. I was trying to be gentle. I can't wait till Christmas cause she will be bigger and then I can play with her more. Here are some pictures from our trip to Texas .

I got my ears pierced!!!

My mommy and Auntie Liz took me and cousin Layla to get our ears pierced on Friday morning. My daddy was not on board the first time my mommy asked him but after he thought about it for a few days he decide that I could get my ears pierced. So the next day after my daddy told mommy that I could get my ears pierced, we went out and got them pierced. My mommy picked out little diamonds (I mean cubic zirconium) for me and Layla got little gold hearts with diamond (I mean cubic zirconium). Layla was first and she was having fun amusing the ladies as they marked her ears, but soon after they got the ears ready they made her cry but she didn't cry long, she cried as if her mommy took her to the doctor and they gave her shots. I was next I was a little bit more interested in what they were doing to my ears then Layla did, but as soon as they marked my ears they made me cry. I cried as much as I would normally cry at the doctors office. Here are some pictures that my mommy took of me and cousin Layla.

My cousins from Wyoming stayed with me for two weeks, we had so much fun. My cousin Breanna danced for me a lot and made me laugh a lot. My cousin Abby would always give me a toy to make me happy when I would cry. My cousin Layla would try and play with me but I think I was a little bit of a bully with all my toys, I don't think I like to share just quite yet. I am so happy that my Auntie Liz brought them to Minnesota to see me. We wish they could have stayed forever but Breanna & Abby have to go to school. Good luck at school guys.

Teeth

I have 2 teeth, my mom was soo excited when she could feel my teeth coming in , but now she is excited that she can finally see them. My teeth are not totally up but they are very close. My cousin Layla has had her teeth for about a month, but I rolled over before her. My cousin Micheal is not only rolling over but he has almost mastered crawling, but he doesn't have teeth so Layla and I have beat him in that area. For you guys that don't know, my mommy was pregnant with me at the same time as my auntie Stephanie and auntie Liz. I was born on Jan 3 and Micheal was born on Jan 16 and Layla was born on Jan 25. So I have a couple of cousins that are very close to my age.

I love watching Wheel of Fortune. My parents think it is so funny that as soon as the show comes on I watch it, when it goes to commerical I stop watching but as soon as the wheel starts spinning I start watching again.

ROLLING OVER

My mommy is so happy that I started rolling over. I know it took me 7 months to do it but I like to do stuff in my own time. Now she can't wait till I crawl, then it will be walking, does she really know what she is getting her in to. Once I start walking there is no turning back. I am just content just playing with my toys. I have my cousins from Wyoming here to play with me and soon I will meet my aunt and uncle and all 5 of my cousins from Florida. My mommy will post pictures soon of me and my cousins.

My mom thought I as so cute in this outfit, she had to take pictures of me. We are so glad it is the weekend. Today we have a baby shower to go to, while daddy stays home and tries to sell mommy's car, because daddy bought mommy a minivan. Mommy likes the van a lot because it is a lot easier to get me in the and out of the car now. That's all we have planned for this weekend not sure what we are doing on Sunday. We love the weekends cause that means that daddy is home with us all day long.

I AM 6 MONTHS

Hey Everyone!!

I am 6 months old now, I went to the doctor last week, I weigh 19lbs 12 oz ( soon I won't be sharing this info.) and I am very tall at 27 1/2 in long(my parents aren't really sure where I am getting the length from). I also had to get shots too, I hate those they hurt and make me feel bad for a few days after they give them to me. My mommy is happy that when I go to the doctor next time at 9 months, I don't have to get shots. I am also happy too. I am not rolling over yet, my mommy tries to make me roll over but I just like letting her think I may roll over any day now. I am sitting up all by myself, so how much does she expect out of me. I love playing with my toys.

I was having so much fun in my mommy and daddy's bed. My parents thought I was so cute in their bed they decide to take pictures of me. I wish I could have spent all night there but I guess my mommy want her side of the bed back so I had to move to my crib.

I like my crib too, but I only like to sleep there at night time, any other time I wake up the minute my mommy puts me in my crib.

We are a little late on posting the wonderful news of Marissa Jolene Ketcham. She was born on June 22, 2007 at 6:39 am she weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and 19 in long. Her and mommy are doing good. We are planning on going to visit them in September, we can't wait to meet her. We love and miss them alot.

We are so happy that it is Friday!!!

Friday means that Daddy comes home early and also that our weekend is starting. We have a very busy weekend, we have a lot of family from out of town here this weekend.

We had a really good 4th of July, we met family at the casino for dinner and then watch fireworks. Mackenzie liked the fireworks she didn't even flinch for the loud ones, mommy was worried that they were to loud so she would cover my ears but I didn't think that was necessary. Mackenzie has loved lights ever since she has been little so she really liked the lights that flash in the sky.

Mackenzie is now 6 months old, she is getting so big , she is not rolling over yet but she is sitting up really well. I can't believe that these six months a have gone so fast.

Today we went out to lunch with Auntie Jenni, she bought Mackenzie a new loud toy, she is paying me back for all the toys I bought Jacob.

This coming weekend we have a lot of family that is coming in town that will be meeting Mackenzie for the first time. We can't wait to see all of them.
